A black winged, metallic blue banded, medium-sized butterfly from Peru. Philnus' can also occur in regions of Ecuador and Bolivia. The undersides of this species are a golden caramel yellow with black and white linear markings with mostly black hindwings and whisps of metallic blues. Like other Perisama species, they are active in the early-midday's and rest in the later hours. The blue's on this species are strikingly beautiful! A lovely addition to any growing collection!
