Rare Book: A Natural History of English Insects by Eleazar Albin 1749

CRORT: A RARE a highly sought after book, published over 270 years ago. This book is older than the United States of America. Published in London in 1749, it contains 100 plates that detail all sorts of English butterflies and moths, as well as an illustrations of their larval (caterpillar) stages and host plant! The author Eleazar Albin went to great lengths to observe all of the species in the wild, and then illustrate them as in as much detail as humanly possible; this beautiful detail is evident in the the illustrations. The author then colored each plate individually by hand. This example is in excellent condition it it's original binding, with minor scuffing on the corners from gentle use, and light foxing on  a few pages. A rare opportunity to own an important piece of history!
